The Board of Hinkley Professional Services Group (Hinkley PSG) is pleased to announce that it has changed its name to the Nuclear Professional Services Group (Nuclear PSG) reflecting future growth of nuclear.
Formed in 2017 the original remit of Hinkley PSG was to advise businesses wishing to be involved with the build of Hinkley Point C (HPC), the first nuclear power station to be built in the UK in a generation. Over the last seven years the group which is a collection of professional service businesses that have direct or transferrable experience of advising owners, contractors and sub-contractors have supported many businesses in the build of HPC.
With planned new nuclear energy developments which members of the group are actively involved in, the Board felt it was the right time to widen its focus to support the whole of the nuclear sector. The group remains committed to supporting the HPC project working collaboratively with businesses and partners through their journey in nuclear energy.
Zoe Stollard, Chair of Nuclear PSG said “Having been involved in the Hinkley PSG for over 5 years I have seen the benefit that the group has given to many businesses who have either thought about getting involved with HPC or supported contractors through the process of bidding, wining and successfully delivering their contracts. The time is right to broaden our reach to other nuclear opportunities such as Sizewell C, SMR’s, decommissioning and defence as many of our growing number of members are involved with other nuclear related projects. I look forward to Nuclear PSG continuing to provide invaluable support to the sector”.
