Formed in 2018, the Somerset Cyber Group is a membership association of IT companies qualified and capable of providing the government-approved Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus certifications and of course many more IT and cyber security products and services. 

The group was formed in response to the need for organisations involved in the Hinkley Point C nuclear build supply chain to ensure that they meet a set of simple but effective standards in good IT practice and cyber security, and that their procedures illustrate good security practice, with an effort to make sure they don’t present a risk to fellow suppliers or their clients. Given the obvious risks and security needs, this baseline standard and associated works show sound judgement and care to all.
